A rising star and activist voice for female victims of domestic violence and abuse.
Frances is a Latino woman and mother born in the beautiful Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. At the age of 11, Frances came to the United States where she excelled academically and personally. Frances graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Legal Studies, along with many elective courses in the field of Criminal Justice which included UCF's Study Abroad Program in Russia.
As a minority, a woman, and a mother, she understands what it is like to have to raise above the challenges to succeed. Frances is a great communicator and will work tirelessly to raise awareness on this controversial topic affecting so many women who suffer in silence and which has been aggravated and brought to light by the recent pandemic.
Undoubtedly, the most important and life-changing event in Frances’ life was the birth of her son who is absolutely the biggest joy in her life. Her little preemie, who spent 28 days in the NICU, is now a growing toddler, developing and thriving amazingly. She wishes to provide him with the tools and life experiences he needs to become not only a man, but a true gentleman. Gentlemen are raised and more often than not, abusive personalities are shaped during childhood.
Personally, she is confident while remaining humble, is approachable, and highly empathetic. Frances truly wants to make a difference in the community and in the lives of others, especially her fellow women and her dynamic personality and genuinely nature are evident at first glance.
Explorer by nature, Frances has been incredibly fortunate to experience 17 countries and over 40 cities and her absolute love of travel along with her endless curiosity and fondness for diversity and culture are qualities which make her that much more well-equipped to head Rise Up Woman Foundation.
Maria's main focus is to lead efforts to advocate for the rights of women. Maria was born in Puerto Rico, a Commonwealth of the United States where she obtained a B.A. in Sociology and a Minor in Social Work order to feed her passion for helping the community and her interest in society and human causes.
As an experienced former Child Abuse Protective Investigator for the Department of Children and Families in New Jersey and Florida, Maria has witnessed first-hand the devastating effects of domestic abuse and of abuse as a whole. As an avid advocate for the rights of children and women, she is incredibly passionate about providing support and resources through her extensive skills and qualifications so that women may benefit and rise above.
In the Non-Profit sector, Maria served as Program Director for the Puerto Rican Association for Human Development in New Jersey. This Non-Profit Organization focuses on providing human services to the community and Maria excelled as Program Director and absolutely loved her time assisting the community. Maria remains intensely passionate for the well-being of the community, especially women and children, as she has her entire life. Helping victims raise their voice is a priority for her.
Professionally, Maria has also occupied positions within the Government of Puerto Rico, including with the House of Representatives and the Office of The Governor of Puerto Rico as well as founded and headed successful companies in the sectors of Real Estate and general advising.
Thiruthambagai Jeyaselvan, known by her friends as “T.J.” for short, is originally from Sri Lanka. Born of Indian descent, she moved to the United States 31 years ago looking for a better life for her family.
In India, a woman’s value is often measured in terms of her marriage. Women are conditioned to believe that being accepted by a man makes her more worthy, beautiful, socially acceptable. Marriages are arrange by their parents and even thou India has change a lot during the last few years marriage arrangements still a norm. At a very young age TJ had to learn how to deal with it. However, since TJ has been living in USA she has learned that there is another socially and personally acceptable way to get into a marriage or a romantic relation and she is very happy with it. She has also learned that woman value is not conditioned to anyone but to herself.
T.J. is a business woman.
She’s a co-owner in a hotel chain and has worked in the Hospitality, Banking and Sales industries for many years and has enjoyed her time and excelled in her endeavors. While she is a busy mother and business woman TJ takes care of her son who was diagnosed with Autism at an early age, and so her journey began to learn as much as she could about his condition. Now a young adult, he is a true joy and blessing in her life and she enjoys every moment with him helping him to develop and to live his best life.
Having experienced raising a son with special needs, while simultaneously balancing a successful career, T.J. knows how important it is to stay strong as a woman in this world. That is why she is incredibly passionate about helping other women to live fearless lives. T.J. believes that God has blessed everyone with individual talents, and it is her desire to make sure women discover how to utilize theirs.

Patricio is a producer, host, and co-host of 3 different podcasts in Orlando, Florida. His genuine skill of speaking with people gives him the ability to service our community with the highest level of service and network for our Communications Department. With over six years in multiple law fields, including; criminal defense, evictions, estate planning, corporate, and debt negotiations. Mr. Solano joined The Law Office of Erin Morse in October 2019 as a family law legal assistant and became the Head of Marketing as of February 2020.
Being raised by a single mother, Patricio understands the struggles one faces when no one is by your side during difficult times. He applies that same passion and extensive knowledge into every case he works on to ensure that family comes first.
Patricio was born in Chicago, Illinois, and is of Mexican and Ecuadorian descent. He studied Airframe and Power plant Mechanics at Westwood College of Aviation in Broomfield, CO, and has a technical license as an Aircraft Mechanic and Avionics Technician.
Attorney Gabriela Andrea Bonilla is first generation Venezuelan American and Miami native. Ms. Bonilla attended Florida International University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and minor in Women’s Studies. During her undergraduate studies, she dedicated her time to fighting for social justice rights. Ms. Bonilla decided to transfer her passion for activism into advocacy. Ms. Bonilla moved to Orlando to attend Barry University School of Law where she earned her juris doctor degree.
Shortly after being admitted to practice law in Florida, she worked for the Fifth Judicial Circuit of the State Attorney’s Office where she was assigned to a specialized unit assisting with the prosecution of capital homicides and resentencing cases. Ms. Bonilla continued her public service with Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida representing victims of domestic violence and under privileged families concerning all aspects of family law.
